here's a few things we've learned recently:
- the levee has procured a couple new cue sticks (the levee's cue stick rating has been bumped up accordingly)
- the table at charleston has become so slanted that all the balls gradually slope and collect on one side of the table
- alligator lounge is missing its 8-ball
- to use the table at legion, you must either leave your ID or a $20 deposit
- laila lounge is no longer.
also, we somehow all (independently) got it into our heads that we should hit up max fish at some point soon. maybe it was watching rushmore at the pool that made us first think of it, but it's true that we don't leave williamsburg much anymore. back in the day (2003), the southside was sketchy, you could smoke in bars, and von dutch hats were in (sorry, jill). back then, we'd jmz it over to the les every night to catch a show at pianos and get a game in at max fish. with luxury condos popping up on every corner, and people actually moving into them now, i think we're all up for reliving simpler times. not that going to max fish isn't going to be terrible, but who knows. maybe it'll be like a time machine. we'll see.
